"Shit!" Charlie hissed, reaching out and stopping over and over. Should he touch him? Should he pick him up?! It looked like he was dying! Charlie's blood ran cold.
"Hang on, we're going to Penny ok? I'm gonna take you to Penny!" He told Edgar, finally picking him up as gingerly as possible. He was a big cat, and weighed a fair bit, but Charlie barely felt it over his fear that Edgar was going to die from the pain of the barrier. What if it worked differently on animals?!
