Though Andrew may have been hesitant at her kindness, Lia was truly being honest. After working too hard in her life for a whole lot of nothing, sometimes she just wanted to make the life of someone else easier, especially because she couldn't seem to manage it for herself.
And she might have also had access to plenty of things non-muggle, thanks to her best friend Mel, but she always felt odd asking for those. Though she knew Mel loved her, she also knew her substance problems disappointed the other girl more than she cared to admit, and that killed Lia a little too much on the inside. So though gathering a large array of muggle drugs had been difficult and perhaps dangerous, it was worth it to the dark haired girl to not have to seek out her best friend.
"Unfortunately," Lia began, giving him a small frown, "Ketamine was something I was unable to get my hands on before coming back to school, and now... I'm kind of screwed in that regard, even if my source did manage to scrounge some up. Can't exactly go owling it in when the mail is being sorted and the ministry is watching us so hard, unfortunately. Plus, they're muggle. Don't think they'd quite understand how to send it by owl," she said with a sigh. "So... sorry about that," she said quietly, looking down and wondering if she should answer his question about where she got it all.
"I know some people... from some days," she began, managing to look back up at him. "I fell in with a very.. shady crowd a few years ago. They introduced me to some people... some very.." she cut off, debating how she wanted to word it. "Some very dangerous, but well connected people. I kept in touch with a few of them who I felt weren't total murderous lunatics once I started to figure my shit out," she said with a dark chuckle. It was probably still not the brightest idea on her part, but sometimes, marijuana and drinking just didn't fucking cut through the memories or the pain.
"It's... quite a pretty penny. Have you ever done it before? I can show you how..." And then thinking better of herself. "Plus, I should probably show you how much anyway. Not that I don't trust you to be intelligent, but I don't exactly need you O.D.ing either. That would be bad very bad for both of us."
