"It's understandable," Ellie said with a small nod. "You had to do what felt right for you. Experiment. Explore. Otherwise you'd never know, right?" But she fell silent again, listening to Sally continue, though she had to interject the slightest bit. "That's not stupid or cliche at all," she said quietly, because in a way, Elle knew what she meant. It was the feeling she got... when she kissed Kevin. But now wasn't the time to go exploring her feelings and issues. Now she was focused on Sally, and nothing else mattered. Not even the weird ghost currently hanging out in their dorm.
But then she smiled as she ran her fingers through Sally's hair, taking a moment to gather her thoughts before opening her mouth. "I don't think anyone knows how to do this, Sals. Not really. We're teenagers, we don't have it figured out yet. And even when we're adults... I don't think they have it figured out either," she said with a gentle shrug.
"What did he say when you explained it to him? Do you know if he feels... the same?"
