    OLYMPUS RISING
After the last true Greek hero died, a silence fell upon the lands of gods and men. Mortals were no longer born with the sort of might that could rival that of Achilles, or with the cleverness of Odysseus. As they began to turn away from the deities they’d once respected and adored, a feeling of melancholy draped itself over the gods like a starless sky at night. Just as they started to acknowledge that the world around them was changing for the worse, there came a stirring from within the bowels of the earth, that soon erupted into a thunderous clash of war. The Olympians and those who stood with them were soon backed into a corner. The Titans and their allies tore them down with no remorse, and judged and punished them accordingly.

To keep their fallen foes contained, the Titans forced them into a constant cycle of reincarnation. For thousands of years, they would be born and then die as mortal men and women.

    Until now.

The Titans and their accomplices have ruled the world for millennia. They have been worshiped and revered. They have kept mortals in line and otherworldly creatures safe. But nothing ever stays the same, and over the years, they have lost control of everything they hold dear. Mortals worship other things now, like technology and media and fame. As they turn away from the old gods, the old gods grow weak.

    They have lost control.

The sleeping gods have woken up and with their awakening has come the slow steady trickle of power. It will take some time for them to regain everything they’ve lost (if they can manage that), but until then, the Olympians and the Titans are evenly matched.
