Prince Bourne
Born only minutes after his brother, Alcott, Bourne was secondary. A spare. As a boy, this wasn't something he begrudged. All of the pressure was on Alcott, which meant Bourne had more room to focus on what he liked. He always slacked on his studies, and seemed happiest with a sword in his hand. When the young princes played together, and Alcott pretended to be king, Bourne was always the general. The captain of the king's guard. The knight in shining armor.

It wasn't until after he married his betrothed, Rona, that he started to think about what it would be like to be king. He may not realize it, but he only got that idea because she put it there. They say that behind every good man is a good woman, and Rona knows how to pull his strings. His princess has made him see what life would be like for them if he was king. She's made him want that life. Together, the pair are a force to be reckoned with. Brains and brawn, and willing to do what it takes - at any cost, to kingdom or family.

Fiona Ó Seanáin
The widowed sister-in-law of the Lord of Avalon. Rumor has it that she is one of the women who visit her brother-in-law’s bed regularly, though no one has caught them in the act. It is only rumor, and the servants that might know better have learned to guard their tongues on the subject.

Knowing that nothing important could ever be expected of her, and not giving two hoots about anyone’s reputation, Fiona has always had her fun and gone where she needed to go, ever since she was younger. She has gained the medieval equivalent to a “party girl” status amongst the people, and everyone knows there isn’t a party like a Lady Fiona party in Avalon. Of course she is very devout of the Creator... just not in that celibate, well behaved sort of way.

All might as well be perfect in Lady Fiona's life - if not for the unchecked hatred of her niece, Khala. Khala has her suspicions of her aunt's true relationship with her father, and she's determined to see the wicked lady brought to ruin.

Lady Ceridwen Bamford
As a child, Ceridwen's health had always been something of an issue. She took ill very easily, though physicians could never find the cause. One such man had once had the nerve to tell her noble father that it was all in the girl's head. That she did it for attention. Her father had the man silenced, and decided it may be good to get her out of the realm. Luckily, Ceridwen had always been a remarkably beautiful girl, and the Osmers were wealthy and respected through-out the kingdom. She was betrothed and wedded to Jareth Bamford, and became lady of Mag Mell.

When her lord husband died, Ceridwen was grief-stricken. She took to her bedchambers, and didn't leave for months. She wept constantly, and struggled with illness after illness. Her mother-in-law, Lady Delyth, tried to get the woman what help she could, but there was little to be done. A private physician was hired for her, and for months she lived only in her own rooms. One day, she overheard the servants gossiping about Lady Delyth's search for a proper wife for Ceridwen's only son, Jarey. He would be a man soon, and his parents had never seen to arrange a marriage for the boy. Perhaps Ingisól of the house of Kenet, or even Princess Héloise would be suitable. For whatever reason, this snapped Ceridwen out of the fog. She had never cared for her husband's mother. The woman was harsh and cold, and made no effort to hide her lack of patience for Ceridwen's 'fits.' How dare this woman take Ceridwen's rightful place at her son's side. She has thrown herself back into the life of court, and is fighting for her son's attention.

         Lord Iagan Kenet
To be sure, Iagan was not expecting to be Lord of Empyrean for a very long time. His father, Ignatio, was a healthy man in his early forties when he was murdered - by the mistress he refused to marry. Iagan was away at the time of his father's death, studying on the Island of Doves. He returned to Elysia at once, to assume lordship and care for his sisters. His first official act was to kill the woman who murdered his father.

The sigil of the house of Kenet is a serpent, and they have always been known as a house best not to cross. Despite that, Iagan appears nowhere near as tempermental as the men of his house usually are. Indeed, as a child, his father thought him overly weak, and did everything possible to try and toughen the boy up. Iagan did not care for swords and shields the way other boys did, but he did have a mind for tactics. He was a smart boy, but still somewhat girlish, which is perhaps why his father tried so hard to father another son. Alas, he failed, and at the time of his death, Iagan assumed the lordship many believed he was not ready for. He earned a fair amount of respect when he beheaded his father's mistress himself, and since then, locals have learned not to underestimate the young man. Along with princes Alcott and Bramwell, he's now regarded as one of the most coveted bachelors in the Kingdom. For the time being, however, his attentions seemed focus on bringing his wild elder sister to heel. The two are constantly at odds, and the situation is only getting worse. The lady may yet discover there is more of their father's cruelty in Iagan than anyone ever imagined...
