In the year 2001 Buffy Summers, perhaps the greatest slayer the council has ever seen sacrificed herself for the world and her sister. Her loved ones weren't ready to let her go however; her best friend Willow and the rest of the Scoobies planned a way to bring her back. Unfortunately on the night the spell was supposed to take place Demons raided the town of Sunnydale and the spell was interrupted.

Buffy was brought back and it seemed like things might actually have a shot of working out, but there was side effects. At first they thought it was just a demon they had created, but as it turns out there was more. Buffy's travelling through the dimensions back to the Earthly plane opened up many other portals and allowed people and creatures from different worlds to enter.
