Sarah, I know how you feel. I made a big list of everything I have due before Thanksgiving and ended up stressing myself out for no reason. I have plenty of time to do things and do things well I just have to prioritize and make productive use of the time I have (productive was the key word there). I've decided to write a lesson each day this week which means that by Friday all of my lessons will be complete. This puts me in the most prepared situation I've been in for the past three semesters going into teaching. I know we like to get detailed and I'm not saying to do things poorly but its all about prioritizing and making sure that we don't get too off base with animations. (p.s. I'm really shocked that you'll even be able to use powerpoints) In regards to you feeling pressured, don't. I dont think your teacher said what she did to put pressure on you but to encourage you and let you know that she's excited for you to teach. You won't have wasted her time. If mythology is important to her hopefully she'll continue what you started. I've felt like I've wanted to expand my unit in the past and I think it's very encouraging...it means we're on the right track. I can't wait to begin student teaching so we can extend our units and really get our hands wet. Don't worry, you'll be great!
