Byron was sitting in the bushes, mostly hidden, dabbing at his cut lip. He looked up when he saw headlights, gingerly standing, obviously favoring one leg.
"Over here," he called when Bronte climbed out of the driver's side. "Toss me the clothes first. Please."
He wanted to get covered up fast. He felt too vulnerable like this.
