Severus helps Draco brew Elixir of Euphoria
Title: Severus helps Draco brew Elixir of Euphoria
Artist: [info]venturous

Prompt: 90. Draco decides he wants to learn how to brew a potion. He is around 7 years old, and he tries to convince Severus to let him help. as suggested by [info]lilibel
Characters: Snape, young Draco
Rating: G
Media: oil on canvas
Summary: Snape coaches Draco in completing a potion
Warnings: shirtless!Snape
Author's Note: My Draco probably looks a bit too old (note to self, draw more children!); but if Draco is 7, Severus is about 28, a young professor. I just couldn't resist leaving him shirtless.

you win darling.

I really like how you rendered the cauldron and fire.

And Draco may look a bit older in size but his face and expression convey his youth.

And well, shirtless Severus ... no point commenting on that one ^^

And oh well, I really like it all.

squee! I had SO MUCH FUN making this, rediscovered a long neglected technique, so thatnks for the excellent prompt. I really like thinking about SS in various versions of teacher role.

You're very welcome dear.

I've always had a problem with oil painting and I always tell myself that I should give it another chance instead of going with pigments or watercolors.
You really really make me consider going back to it.

Yeah, SS is more complex than at first glance and can be depicted in many possible ways. I like layered characters.

Oh, well done! I love the setting, the lighting, the cauldron. Snape is yummy. He needs to be licked. Draco may be a bit older but not much. Overall a very lovely piece.

Beautimous! Very atmospheric. I love the way the firelight gives warm tones to the cave-like setting. and...Gah! the muggle clothes! Snape in jeans and boots! and shirtless! Oh yeah! me likes!

Plus...Snape's hair, with the sideburns and the patient expression, really works.

Purty...

Eee! Colours are gorgeous -- I especially like the violet-ish cast to the cave and the warm lights, both under the cauldron and in the sconce. Shirtless!Snape is delicious. But that goes without saying!
And Draco may be a bit tall for his age, but it's clear he's not very old. He has yet to perfect his haughty mien. ;)
Lovely job, dear!

I love the concentration of both Severus and Draco. I can see this happening, with Severus appreciating Draco's interest in potions, and contrasting that with the older dunderheads that Severus has to teach.
