Drabble-a-thon: Prompt Forty-Three and an apology
Hi guys,

As some of you probably noticed, there was a bit of a glitch earlier today. The 11 AM to 1 PM prompts weren't posted. Sorry about that.

Here they are now:

- Purple poodles and the rising moon

- Honeyduke's finest

- "Never trust anything that thinks for itself when you cannot see where it keeps its brain"--Arthur Weasley in CoS

And this is the current prompt:

- Shore

Drabbles/drawbles for all those prompts can be posted as a comment to this post.

Again, we're terribly sorry for the mix-up and thanks for all your great contributions so far.

Happy continued drabbling!

Title:In the moonlight
Author:venturous
Word Count:100

Pairing: RL/??
Prompt: 43 and 40
Warnings:cracky!
Disclaimer: not my toys, just playing, thanks!

The moon rose high above the lake, shimmering off riffles where wind brushed water.
Snape hurried along the shore, not pausing to admire the silvery light as he intently studied the faint trail of pawprints.
Where had that werewolf gone, at this precarious time? What on earth would keep him from his appointment to get his freshly-prepared wolfsbane? Why would he willingly enter into the painful transformation?
These and other questions dogged Snape’s mind, and so he did not see the curvaceous outline of the beautifully coiffed violet dog, tail held high, sniffing noses with a very excited wolf.

And the clincher is...

I have a drawing of a beautiful french poodle, and it's labeled as Gilderoy Lockhart's Animagus form.

Oh, how amazing that would be, would it not? Now I want to write Lockhart/Lupin smut! -_-

Title:Moonlit Ponderings
Author:[info]snapesgirl
Word Count:103
Rating:g
Pairing: Severus,??
Prompt: 43
Warnings:angsty poetry
Disclaimer: just borrowing them for an exercise in creative writing.

Alone I sit
Locked in my tower
Silver chains hold me
My will to leave is weak
I know not what I desire.

Upon a hill
I sense movement
Shadows drift, changing
Developing into shapes
Purple in the dark of night
The two poodles take flight.

Dare I risk
Breaking my bonds
Joining dogs in their romping run

Shall I remain
A prisoner of promises
Made in hast
They hold me fast
Tieing me in solitary splendor.

I spy a light
Low on the horizon
The moon begins to rise
Poodles howl to greet it
I break my chains and begin to fly.
