Well, at least he was listening to what she was saying and able to seem interested - that alone gave him points in her book. "I'm a couples therapist, dealing mostly with their.. intimate lives," she explained before taking a sip of her drink. It wasn't bad at all. Astrid tilted her head to the side ever so slightly and smiled as she asked; "how do you feel about surfing?" He certainly had an athletic physique, the chances of him having caught a wave or two were probably high.
"Ah, so you're a man of the sea I presume?" It was a simple assumption, given his previous career choices. Don't be modest, I'm sure it's a fun job. Probably much better than sitting in an office listening to people complain about their significant others and how they aren't satisfying anymore," she commented before taking another drink. She hadn't recalled passing the shop even though she very much enjoyed aquariums, but if the time with him went well - she'd certainly make it a point to stop in and at the very least, say hello.
"And oh, I'm just staying at a little hotel a few blocks away," Astrid added, waving her hand as if dismissing the fact. She wasn't going to tell him where, for obvious reasons, but also because well the journals were still troubling to her - how they worked. "Though, I'm surprised those journals don't have addresses in them.. it would surely take the guesswork out of just who else has got one.."
