Computers, laptops, cell phones, smart phones, high-definition TVs, all of these were pieces of technology Dylan knew absolutely nothing about. He had lived a life in extremely poor places, and even when he had money Dylan hadn't spent it on technology or gadgets. In all honestly, he was a fairly simple man. If he had clothes to wear, beer to drink, and a view of the ocean, he was ecstatic. In that aspect, Dylan was a fairly simple man to please. He wasn't greedy, work-driven, or hard-working. But at the same time, that made him lazy and full of flaws. It was a lose-lose situation, but Dylan was perfectly content with his losing side.
He never really understood how people couldn't live without their cellphones or internet. There was so much more to life than constantly being tied to someone who wasn't there, or being on-call 24 hours a day for work. When did they get time to relax? To go out with friends, to let go of their worries? Dylan had two separate lives, one started and ended with the key in his shop. The other was the life he was living right now, drinking, playing cards, seducing women, and all the other vices Dylan had. After work was a time for those vices to shine, a time he forgot about money, work, and stock. He was happy and content, and most importantly - stress and worry-free. Yeah, he lived a simple life.
As Dylan sat there, he eyed the crowd. No one he particularly liked, and no other women for him to chase. It was still early, but he could never have enough women. Drinking his beer at a fairly slow paced, Dylan was perfectly relaxed. He loved this pub, and he usually enjoyed the crowd. This was his element, and he was prepared.
Until she walked in.
All heads turned, and all eyes stared, including Dylan's. Barely being able to stop his draw from dropping, he couldn't help but stare. It had been a long time he had seen such a beautiful body in a gorgeous dress. And he here was in faded jeans and a polo t-shirt. If this wasn't the girl he was meeting, it was now. As she approached, Dylan's heart sped up. Nodding silently at her question, Dylan couldn't believe his luck. He knew he was very attractive, but attractive enough for this bombshell to approach him? No. Fucking. Way. It had to be a set-up, right? "No, take it." He finally replied. "I'm Dylan," he said, trying to put a casual touch in his voice. Goddamn she was hot! Everything in his body told him he had to have her, and right now.
Perhaps that was since he couldn't remember having anyone as gorgeous as her, or was it because he never had her specifically?
