Eddie felt the blood drain from his face, and picked up his beer to take a long pull before he even considered answering.
"Uh... it was in the drawer of my bunk on the boat I was on yesterday. I... I own a mining firm, and we're branching out into some underwater work. We were exploring some caves as possibilities and were on the boat for most of the day and... and there it was. My name on it and everything."
He swallowed hard and finished his beer.
"So... so it's true, then? Not some fucked up joke?"
He remembered what he'd written about the woman and the cave and wanted to gag that someone else might, no make that would, read that!
He fell silent then, thinking of her. He didn't even know who she was, but that woman had haunted his dreams, had haunted him.
Finally he took a deep breath and looked back at Jackson. "What about you?"
