Dylan was feeling so many things it was leaving him dizzy. He wanted to touch her, hold her, protect her, and love her, which at the same time ignore her, fight with her, and do terrible things behind her back. Dylan couldn't work out each individual feeling, and so he was left with a jumbled mess. It was strange, but intriguing, terrifying, yet exciting, and difficult, but comforting. Dylan had never felt so confused, nor so safe and relaxed. He wondered if maybe she reminded him of his mother? He hadn't seen her in years, and barely remembered what she looked like.
The girl's words caused his face to light up. Dylan wasn't sure why, but he was more excited than ever. He was going to get a chance to spend time with her, to woo her ... wait, what? Where was all this coming from? Quickly flashing a smile at her, Dylan tried to mask the confusion on his face.
Moving quickly, Dylan turned off the lights at the back of the store. Ushering the girl out, who had yet to learn her name, Dylan put the "CLOSED" sign up. Swiftly locked the door, Dylan inhaled the Athens air. It was hot outside, and the air was sticky. It was the norm at this time of the year, but after living in Mexico for years, it didn't affect Dylan much.
"Have you eaten lately?" Dylan asked. "I know a great little cafe bar sorta place that's hidden away." Dylan's mouth watered at the thought, it was his favourite place to eat. It was a little pricey, but Dylan had decided today warranted a little bit of spending. Hopefully he had enough money on him, but if not he was sure he had a credit card. Dylan resisted the strange urge to put his arm around the girl and pull her close. Dylan's hand seemed to twitch out of his control, as in an attempt to grab the girl's, but he quickly covered it up by running it through his hair.
