Dylan never really slept great. He always had something to worry about, whether it were bills, getting away with being an illegal immigrant, or doing strange things in his sleep when there was a girl over. When Dylan did fall asleep, he was restless. He dreams were always vivid, and resembled The Little Mermaid, but with much more bloodshed. He could never understand it, Dylan hadn't even really liked The Little Mermaid. Then he had to factor in his shop, and often worried about oversleeping. When all that was added together, Dylan never got more than 5 hours a night.
This morning, the shop was slow. It had been slow for the past couple days. Normally, tourists and non-locals would assume this was his busy time, but they couldn't be more wrong. In the early weeks of summer, Athens was swarmed with tourists, and the locals didn't do much shopping. Besides, who cared about fish in the summer? Dylan did most of his large sales in the winter, when people were lonely and wanted to get an easy pet. After this long, Dylan knew the majority of locals, and they all had the same pattern.
So, now Dylan's stock room was over-stocked, and he needed to just get rid of it. He had decided to offer aquariums for free. Who would take an aquarium without fish? He hadn't really spent much money on them anyways - Dylan had connections with underground robberies. So this way he'd make some money, at least enough to keep up with his payments.
Hearing the clang of the door, Dylan looked up. He expected some old couple, wanting to get out of the sun. Boy, was he wrong. As soon as he saw this girl, his heart went overtime. Which was weird, in the past two days he'd met one woman who drove him wild, and now this one? As Dylan looked at her, something inside him told him he had to have her. Quickly straightening up, Dylan wiped his hands on his pants, and walked over to her. "Afternoon, Miss," Dylan said sweetly, realizing his usual methods of courting women may not work. "Can I help you with anything?"
