The war was over, Hebe knew mostly from the way the gods and goddess where relaxing. It would be a time for peace, even if just for a short period of time, and Hebe welcomed it. She hated choosing sides, she really just wanted to serve all of her brothers and sister, her father and her mother as well as she could. Later she would find this the thinking of a small insignificant girl, but for now while she held her position and her pride within the court she still held her youthful innocence.
The stone was cold on her feet as she ran through the palace, her dark hair billowing out behind her along with the flowing fabric from her dress. He would be home soon, and she wanted everything to be perfect for him. Entering the room she set to her work.
The room was huge, white marble where ever the eyes could see, no ceiling gave a perfect view of the darkening sky as the sun sunk below the horizon. At the center of the room sat a huge basin large enough to fit a God fully inside. Hebe hurried over to it and began to fill it with hot water. Leaving the tub to fill she moved over to the wall and removed several pitchers of oils and salts, pouring some into the steaming water she left most sitting at the side of the tub so she could use them as her own choice. Turning the water off she smiled filling a golden cup with ambrosia. She turned just in time to see him enter the bathhouse, she pushed the goblet into his hand.
“Brother,” she said bowing her head slightly to him “So glad to see you well.” She finished, looking back up at him a warm smile on her full lips.
