Sunset:
House and Wilson were on their balconies looking at the orangey-pink sky.
“Isn't it beautiful?” Wilson asked.
“What's beautiful?” House asked.
Wilson sighed. “The sunset. It's romantic.”
“I guess.”
“You guess? Sunsets are always romantic.” Wilson sighed and tilted his head. “I love looking at the sun as it goes down for the evening. You?”
“I've never shared a sunset.” House looked away.
Wilson smiled. “You're sharing it with me. Right now. This moment.”
House looked back. “Yeah, we are.”
They looked on some more when House yawned. “I'm tired of sharing. Let's go inside.”
“Come on!” Wilson said. “Just until it goes down.”
“Fine. For you.”
Parting:
Wilson looked at House in the casket. This would be the last time he would see him. That slight stubble and those blue eyes that were now closed. Wilson had him dressed in his favorite clothes: a blue blazer, a The Who t-shirt and jeans. Wilson reached down and felt the fabric of the shirt; he could almost imagine that he saw House breathing. He leaned down and kissed him on the lips and said, “I love you.”
Cuddy pulled on Wilson's sleeve and said, “It's time to go.”
Wilson nodded and left his love lying there in the casket.
Reunion:
“Did you have to cry for me?” House asked through the mist.
“House?” Wilson turned around to find House wearing the clothes he buried him in.
“Yeah, me.” House smiled, something that only seeing Wilson could do. “I'm glad you decided to come.”
“I wanted to stay for a bit longer.”
“I know, but it was time to come hang out with me again.”
Wilson smiled. “Yeah. So, where are we?”
“The gates. Come, follow me.”
House and Wilson walked through the mist towards two big, golden gates.
“So, where do we go after this?” Wilson asked. House looked at him and smiled.
“Home.”
Sleep: Writer's Choice
House loved to watch Wilson sleep. How his chest rose and how his eyes would sometimes flicker underneath their lids. How his lips were extra pouty and how his hair fell just right over his forehead. House loved to hug him in his sleep, as that was the only time he could show affection: when no one was looking. He'd sometimes kiss him, making Wilson scrunch up his face.
House was just about to lean down and kiss Wilson when Wilson woke up. “What are you doing?”
“Nothing, nothing. Just watching you sleep.”
“Well, stop. It's disturbing.” Wilson rolled over and fell to sleep instantly.
Anniversary: Writer's Choice
Wilson sat down at his desk and looked down to find a small box. He smiled. House had remembered their anniversary. There was even a crude card to go with it. Wilson ripped the paper off and opened the box. Inside was a heavy set men's diamond ring. Ring? Now? They had only been dating for two years. Then, Wilson wondered why he was the woman. Wasn't he always the woman? He lifted the ring out of the box and found a small piece of paper and the real wedding band underneath.
The note said: “Fooled ya. That other ring came out of a gumball machine. This is the real ring.”
Wilson slapped his forehead. So, this was House proposing.
