Summary:Hermione and Luna go to the Watchtower of Ignorance!
After many owls flying to the Granger's household, Hermione's parents finally persuaded her to just go with Luna Lovegood to this castle of "strange and unique rooms of wonderment the mind has never behold". Luna had put very detailed descriptions of the holiday her and her father were to take and the place the were to go to. As it turned out, Luna's father said she could invite a friend, and Hermione was the one. Harry had been yelled at for the "bloody, damn owls", and Ron locked himself in his room, and told Ginny to write a reply for him.
Hermione stood outside of her house, holding a suitcase looking rather nervous. From what was told in the letters the castle seemed rather interesting, but Luna and her father together? Hermione was just thinking of going back inside for her wand (even thinking of the horrible owl she would get for performing underage magic along the trip if needed) but then there was a loud bag and there was a double decker bug right in front of her.
Luna ran out and grabbed Hermione's suitcase.
"Hermione! I'm so glad you decided to come. We shall love the Watchtower of Ignorance together-"
"Watchtower of Ignorance?" Hermione asked. "You-you didn't mention that in any of your letters. You said we would be going to a very fine castle in northern Scotland, where we would sit out on the lawn next to a lake where witches and wizards would wizarding version of a ballet, but with a bit of a light show like fireworks coming from their hands"
"Oh, yes..."Luna stared into space for a moment and said, "I went there last year..."
"Last year! But...What are we doing then?"
Luna smiled. "We're going to the Watchtower of Ignorance first. It is said all who go there to the top of the Watchtower forget their memories, their lives, their selves. They become infants again and in an instant they transform back to their original age, but they are only as smart as a Green Laced Cockatrice."
"Then wouldn't it be wise not to go there?"
"We're only going to take pictures of ourselves against the tower. Now if we don't get on the bus, we will miss it!"

Hermione and Luna stood in front of the tower. Hermione guessed it had to have been over 40 feet high.
Luna out of nowhere, produced a wizard camera and handed it to Hermione. Hermione looked at it. The only cameras she was able to use were the disposable Muggle kind. It looked like the kind professional photographers used, but it had knobs and gears all around it, and it was bigger than any camera Hermione had seen.
"You do know how to use it?" Luna asked.
"Not really."
"You just hold it up like this." Luna moved camera up right on top of Hermione's face. "Press this, hold this, and when I say go, push this."
Luna ran off to the tower. She leaned against the castle, lifted her leg behind her, and held it with her hand.
"I'm ready!"
Shaking her head, Hermione took the picture and handed the camera back to Luna. Hermione, on the other hand, just stood in front on the tall tower and smiled like the usually did on holiday photos. Before Hermione could say, "What's next?", Luna had grabbed her arm and ran with her to the entrance of the tower.
"Luna! I thought you be ignorant if you go up in here!"
"We're not going to the top."
There wasn't a door to the tower so, Luna just dragged Hermione right on in. Round and round they went, not passing once to stop to look out a window. Hermione started panting. On the walls around her were carvings of runes and other symbols. Hermione tried to pull her arm free, but every time she did, Luna would just cry, "We're almost there! Almost to the spot!" As they went Luna laughed, jumping two steps at a time.
Getting dizzy of the constant turning, Hermione yelled for Luna to stop for a moment. Once again, she called out, "We're almost there! Almost to the spot!"
From where they were, Hermione knew there were nearly to the top. With all of her strength, she pulled her arm free, falling down the stairs. She hit her head on the wall and found that she was bleeding.
Still, Hermione could hear Luna laughing and running. What she heard next, she didn't expect: screaming. Hermione got her feet and ran.
"Luna? Luna? Luna, what happened? Luna!"
Hermione got to the top. She was in a round room; she walked around it looking for the other. She couldn't find her. Over by the window was a heap of clothes.
"Luna?"
She bent down and found a baby with a few blonde hairs on its head. Before she could do anything, and light flashed in front of her like a camera.

Hermione opened her eyes and found the regular Luna looking at her. They were on the grounds of the Watchtower of Ignorance.
"What is this?" Luna pointed to the grassed they were sitting on.
And for once, Hermione didn't know the answer.
