*sniffs* Yeah, me too! That was one of those writing moments when the character really took over -- there were several of those in this fic, in fact, when they looked at me and said, "This IS what happened."

I suspect that Percy and Cedric wouldn't have lasted together forever. Perhaps in a way having the end come as it did was not such a bad thing...
