I like how utterly human this is - not characters having human-like interactions - it's really grounded, really real. Not to say that Percy wasn't very, very Percy (oh no, he certainly was, delightfully so!) - only that I am impressed beyond mere characterization, and I do realize what writer finesse is required for characterization to co-exist with dialog that feels like natural interaction (and what a rarity that co-existence is).
