could have sword i posted a lengthy reply long ago, but i was doing a pre-reveals read through of everything (any excuse for percy is a good one) and apparently i didn't, so it is time for a much delayed squee:
what i think i loved the most about this is the fact that all the characters are undoubtedly themselves, they have a twist of your take on them, but there isn't a moment where i'd stop and go so-and-so'd never do that.
percy was still uppity old percy, and harry was still thick as a rock, which is really why i love him.
have to say my absolute favorite moment is when percy pushes poor unsuspecting harry. just the image of a big puppy-eyed harry looking up at percy all smiles then having that replaced suddenly with shock is a mental image that will keep replaying for quite a while. oh and devious percy is wonderful, he's a weasley indeed.
and the dates are such a harry thing to do. only that boy could be hardheaded enough to set up the guy he likes with other people. oh, and the dates themselves were wonderful. the first two were wonderfully awkward and the last just the right kind of sad.
oh, and charlie's little speech about living at home was wonderful. i don't know anyone other than arthur that could live with molly for long and charlie phrased it just right.
i also loved the wall blanket thing. i don't know why, but i've always been a sucker for it. a week or so ago i was watching it happened one night and the blanket wall went up and i giggled madly (much to the confusion of my roomies) because the percy/harry image came to mind
really what i'm trying to say is i loved it, and thanks, it was really a wonderful gift.
