It wasn't much, but it was a start. There was something about Sam's affliction that Cas wasn't sure he could actually fix. But if nothing else, he could keep it at bay.
The waitress returned with coffee, and Castiel settled his fingers around the mug, just enjoying the warm of it. Purgatory had been so dead and colorless that this place was overwhelming for so many reasons. He wondered if he was in some sort of shock from it, because he was really taking everything a little too well.
"I don't know about this place. I can't make any proper assumptions without further exploring or research. As for the trials…" He rolled his shoulders into a shrug. "Who's to say that time is adding up properly without you there, anyway? You just told me that I was working with you the other day. But I'm from Purgatory, but also here now. Clearly things just… don't add right."
