He didn't grow up very verbal. He relied more on empathic communication due to his empathic abilities. But he's become increasingly so over the years, especially the last two. And while he doesn't like to out his ability to manipulate emotions verbally on people, it would be nice to have a conversation with someone he doesn't have to worry about keeping his emotions in check when he speaks around. And he could use the practice in having those conversations. He's also got a really great resting face he likes to use, so he might be help in that microexpression challenge practice too. Ian will always admit it Poppy, you are dead on. And gladly out anyone nearby that tells Poppy he's wrong. They're lying or that it's likely subconscious/underlying emotion the person doesn't recognize. He has no problems doing this at all.
