“I’m fine.” Thea assured him. “It’s nothing to worry about, just…you know I wish we were at home.” She told Roy, nodding. It probably didn’t make much of a difference to him. He didn’t have a lot back where they’d come from. But Thea really missed her mom. She missed sleeping in her own bed. Things here weren’t that bad, but she’d be lying if she said she wouldn’t rather be home right now. She had a lot more to focus on there. And now with her birthday coming up, she was just kind of sad. She didn’t want to be stuck here anymore, but there was nothing to be done about it, for now. She hoped one day she’d see her mom again. And Roy being here, it really did help. She appreciated having him around.
“I know you are, thanks.” She grinned at him, and opened the bag of food he’d brought up. “You’re going to have to eat some of this too.” She pointed out. “No way I can eat all of this food by myself.”
