Thea didn't really know much about what was going on. She was just glad that the cold had passed. And she'd stayed inside yesterday and let that team of people deal with what was happening outside. This place was more than a bit strange, and it had been hard to get used to. Every time she felt like she was used to something, there was something else that happened. She figured it might just continue that way. But it seemed like the situation from yesterday had been handled, and the cold was gone. Things seemed to be getting back to whatever passed for normal in this place. She hoped that it stayed that way for awhile. A girl could only take so much.
Reluctantly, she put up the post about her birthday party on Tuesday. Tuesday was probably a bad day to even have a party, but Laurel had insisted. And Peeta was going to make her a cake. It was going to be pretty nice, and she was glad that he'd volunteered for that. It was hard to spend her birthday without her mom, but at least she had some of her family and friends here with her. Two Olivers, technically two Laurels too, and Roy was here. She guessed it wouldn't be so bad to have a party, maybe she'd even get to know some more people too. It didn't seem like they were going home any time soon.
She heard the knock, even with her earbuds in, and she pulled them out, setting her phone and such on the nightstand. Then she went to answer the door, and let Roy in. She brightened just on seeing him. And it looked like he'd brought breakfast and coffee too, that was a plus. Thea let him into the room and closed the door behind him. She felt like she hadn't seen him in ages. That was just the way it went around here, there was always so much going on.
