Kensi didn’t know if she could ever get used to this place. She didn’t think it was possible. She hadn’t been here that long yet, she knew people had been here a lot longer. She did know that it was bad though, there had been an explosion and now there was a fire? That seemed suspicious to her. Maybe it was just because she was NCIS. She couldn’t help but wonder if the events were connected. She really could have used the team about now, and if they had access to Kaleidoscope, they’d be able to figure out what had happened in no time. But she had neither here, and it was hard on her. She missed the team. She’d been missing them since she was sent to Afghanistan. And now she was here and it didn’t look like she’d be leaving any time soon. Kensi sighed, and shut her laptop. She stood up, and stretched a bit. She spent way too much time in this place, but she was addicted to the coffee. And she was doing everything she could to find answers, answers that might lead all of them home. Sadly, that was not going so well. She hadn’t found anything yet, and only served to frustrate herself more. She’d had way too much coffee today, too. She rubbed the back of her neck and threw the cup she’d been using in the trash. She packed her laptop in her bag, and exited the Starbucks. She wasn’t sure where she was going at the moment, but she’d spent almost all day there. She really needed to stop doing that and spend some time in her room. She was kind of hungry and Starbucks didn’t offer much in the way of food. Too bad there didn’t seem to be food trucks here, Kensi might have felt more at home if there were. That was something about LA that she definitely missed. But she’d get back to the team soon, she had to. She couldn’t give up. |
