Rock Lee, Skye & OTA ; The Party; 7 pm (on the dot)
He gave another little laugh when Skye admitted that she did not know what her costume was, either. That made him feel a bit better about things. Everything here was so new and foreign, and he had spent a great deal of his time so far thoroughly confused. Lee knew that he was not the brightest person in the world, and certainly no genius like Neji, but he was not stupid. So knowing that Skye was just as clueless when it came to the costumes was a comfort. Of course, even her explanation did not clear things up for him entirely. He knew the term 'fairy' and the term 'princess', but he had never heard them used in conjunction like that. It was intriguing. And when she turned around to show off her wings, he reached out and gave one a little tug, with another small laugh.
"That is cute!" he answered, scrunching up his face in a smile, before popping one of the spider-shaped foods in his mouth. It was a bit sweeter than he was used to, but still good, nonetheless. "I am okay," he answered, once he had swallowed. "And learning a lot. I think my sensei would be proud."
Thoughts of Gai-sensei threatened to make him frown, because he missed him. He was more than just a teacher; Gai-sensei was like a father to him -- the single most important person in the world to him. But still -- Gai-sensei would want him to make the best of a bad situation, and continue with his training. In fact, there were probably other fighters here, with styles he had not yet encountered. It was an opportunity for learning things that he could not learn back home, so he ought to seize hold of it and use it to his best advantage. At the very least, he would think of that when he was feeling homesick, in order to keep himself motivated.
