Rock Lee & OTA; The Party; 7 pm (on the dot) [OOC: This time's the charm! *facepalm*]
Though he did not know what constituted "devilish drinks" and "freakish food", Lee really did not care. A party was a party, and he had never met a food that he disliked. Well, apart from those medicine balls that Gai-sensei had made for him before his surgery. Those had been awful, but he considered them more medicine than food, and so it was okay not to like them. And speaking of food...
He had dressed as sushi, mostly because that was the first costume he found that he recognized. Besides, the colors went well with his jumpsuit, and he could pretend that his legs were covered with nori. Did that make the bandages on his hands rice? Well, he supposed it did not matter. This was just a costume, after all. Of course, the body of the suit covered up his weapon pouch, but he still had the kunai in his leg holster, if he needed it. He probably would not need it -- after all, this was supposed to be a party -- but he would rather have it and not need it than the reverse.
Even after taking the time to dress up, he seemed to be the first one there, but Lee never could stand to be late somewhere. Tenten said he was almost fanatical about being on time, and he was, but that was mostly because he never wanted to miss out on any of the fun. But since there did not seem to be anyone there yet apart from the perpetually silent serving staff, he made a beeline toward the buffet table, to load up his plate. If he started eating before other people arrived, people were less likely to think he was a pig.
Everything looked and smelled delicious, so at first he had trouble deciding what to get. It passed shortly, however, as the foods were all rather small. Because of that, he decided to try one of everything, and he could load up on extras of his favorites when he went back for seconds. Unfortunately, when he reached the drinks, he had more of a quandary. Most everything there smelled of alcohol, or strong spices that might disguise the alcohol. Better to be safe than sorry, so he opted for bottled water that he found in a tub full of ice, instead. Along with bottles of beer. These people were fond of their spirits, were they not?
