Alex didn't know what to make of this whole thing. One minute she'd been standing in a room with Birkhoff, Sonya, and Ryan, and the next she was in Las Vegas. It didn't make sense. None of it did. But something very eerie was going on, and she wanted to find out what it was. Since she had arrived, she'd learned of all kinds of things that were apparently real here. She didn't know what to think about that either. She might have chalked it up to people being crazy, but deep down, she knew that wasn't true. She'd appeared here from where she was before. There was no logical or reasonable explanation for that. And if that had happened, why wouldn't anything else that people were talking about be real?
She'd decided to go to the party, mostly to see if she could find out anything, but also because it was probably a good idea to get to know her fellow captives. And it would keep her busy, which was a very good thing. She'd told Natasha that she wanted something to take the edge off. She was hoping no one had any drugs here, or she might not be able to stop herself. Alex had to be stronger than that, though. Nikita wasn't here to keep her in check, but as long as Alex stayed busy and kept moving...odds were that she would be alright. And the party might actually be a little fun. Or it could be a giant trap. She just couldn't turn off the paranoid part of her brain. Though, if it was a trap she could be useful in saving people so, she decided she'd better go.
Alex hadn't ever really gotten to celebrate Halloween before. It wasn't really a thing in Russia, and she had been too busy on the run and other things since she'd left there. This was the first year that she might actually get to do something. So she kind of wanted to go all out, with a costume and everything. Getting into the spirit seemed like an okay idea. She just wouldn't be letting her guard down or anything. She found a costume that looked kind of Juliet or Renaissance Princess, and it seemed to fit fine so that was what she went with. If she had to fight, it wouldn't be the best costume she could have picked, but she'd definitely fought in a dress before, so she could make it work.
She arrived at the party, looking around a bit. Everything was well-decorated and it seemed like there could be some fun had here. She was also sizing up the room though, entry and exit points. She didn't forget her training no matter where she was. Alex didn't truly know what this was or what would happen here tonight, but she was sure she wanted to be here for whatever it was. She was probably going to be kind of awkward when it came to social situations, but if she acted like this was a mission, she figured she'd be fine. She noted that there were alcoholic beverages being served here, but she didn't feel tempted. It wasn't even a surprise. Hopefully she could find a water bottle or something instead.
She stood there, kind of awkwardly, attempting to take everything in. If someone came to talk to her, she figured she could pull off a bit of small talk. She was sure she couldn't be the only one thinking this was possibly a trap. It had to be on most, if not all of their minds right now. Still, she supposed there was a small chance that it really just was a getting to know you kind of event. Not everyone had bad intentions. That was something she had to constantly remind herself of, after the kind of life she'd had.
