Jo had spent some of Christmas with the people that she knew the most here. That was a comfort, even if it was still a little bit of a strange group. Then again, it wasn't often that hunters had time to stop and celebrate Christmas. Not like that. She and her mom had always done a little something every year and she found that she missed that but had been able to keep her mind off it by keeping busy on the actual day of the holiday.
Her present from their unseen kidnappers had helped even more. She'd gotten her weapons crate from back home. It had taken up most of her day in trying out each weapon to make sure that they were still in working order an untampered with. And because it brought the kind of comfort that only came from being armed to defend oneself. She'd been home long enough to stash the box under her bed before going out again, now armed with a few of the weapons.
What she wasn't expecting was to come back to her room to find it already occupied. With someone who'd strewn clothes all over the floor. Men's clothing, to be specific. She stepped back outside and double checked that the devil's trap under her welcome mat was still in tact. It was. Even so, she pulled out her gun and ventured back into the room. When she didn't immediately spot the man who belonged to the clothes, she headed to the bathroom and cautiously nudged the door open. She clapped her free hand over her mouth in surprise at the sight of someone passed put in her bathtub. And then she grabbed a towel and cleared her throat loudly to wake him up. She was careful not to peer over the side of the tub and just kept her eyes on his face.
