Bonnie had decided it was time to go out and do some shopping. Other than spending some time with Damon she hadn't really left her room, which meant she hadn't saw anyone else from home. She just hadn't wanted to go out, yet. There were just too many thoughts of things going on at home for her to wrap her head around where she was at the moment. Finally she decided that dwelling on something she obviously couldn't change wasn't doing her or anyone else any good. Even though she had her issues back home she still missed it, especially this time of year. She should have been there to decorate the tree with her father, but instead she was here. At least there were a few of her friends here, and maybe they would meet her downstairs in some of the shops in the hotel. If she didn't she was certainly content to just do things on her own. She had never been the type to worry about what other people thought, and that wasn't about to change. Now that she had made the choice to venture out she headed into her bathroom to take a quick shower first. She had taken one earlier that morning, so she didn't really need one but the truth was she just wanted one. Once she was finished she dressed herself in a simple pair of jeans and a nice hoodie. She grabbed her handbag and made her way out the door and down the hallway. The walk down into the lobby took longer than usual, because it seemed like there were just more people out moving around. Of course that was usually normal for this time of year, so she wasn't worried about it at all. She had never really had a problem with crowds, especially now that she had better control of her powers. When she finally made it to the lobbed she passed several caroling elves, and she even saw a few people standing under the mistletoe. It was a pleasant sight and it made Bonnie happy. It was nice to know that there were people out there living happy lives, even if her sucked on occasion. She hadn't really had the best romantic relationship history, but she knew that there was still a chance of things turning around. No matter what she had been through in her life she refused to become the cynical old cat lady. She flashed a few other shoppers a smile as she made her way into the first shop that she came to. She really didn't see anything there that sparked her interest. She wanted to find things for each of her friends, and even Damon. She actually found herself feeling for him at this point. She had never realized how much the two of them had in common. They both had a problem with people expecting way too much from them. For now she hated that she couldn't stop thinking about this, so she pushed the thoughts from her mind and made her way into the next store. |
