"I haven't seen or heard from her in two years. Give or take. Maybe closer to three." Eliot rolled his shoulders. "She's trying to make a go of her dreams, you know? And I had work and stuff." He really didn't want to get into the work he'd done, the things he'd done. "Time just, you know. It keeps flowing, day after day."" And it wasn't like what he and Kaye Lynn had was hot and heavy, deep and serious. it was situational, it was nice, and sure he cared about her even now so long after the fact, but he'd never had designs to marry her or anything.
"I'm sure she's got a lot on her plate. Maybe one day we'll hear her on the radio." Eliot scrubbed a hand over his face. "I'm sorry it's something of a disappointing story."
