Alex didn’t know how or why she was back here, but at least she wasn’t alone this time. Sam was here too. It was odd, considering that he’d just helped Michael to save her ass. Things had been looking pretty bad, and Alex hadn’t expected Sam of all people to come to her rescue. Maybe there was still some Owen left in him, after all. She knew he’d destroyed the black box, but she still hadn’t known then if she could trust him. She hoped she could, though. And now they were both here. She didn’t know why she hadn’t remembered this place when she’d been back there, but she didn’t. She couldn’t recall anything, it was like she’d never been here. But then when she ended up back here, she remembered it all. There was definitely something wrong with this place. She realized that she sounded like a crazy person where Sam was concerned, because he hadn’t been here before. He didn’t know the mystery of this place. The only way that Alex was going to get Sam to believe her, was to show him. She’d gone out there plenty of times, the last time had been with Rose. That was only days ago now. But for her it seemed like months, that was the amount of time that had passed at home. Over 100 days. But here, no time had passed since she left. Even knowing what she did, that made no sense to Alex. She lead him to the edge of the city, as far as anyone could go. “Look, see for yourself.” There was literally nothing there, nothing outside of this Vegas. It was like they were trapped in a bubble or something. She didn’t really like to think about it, but she had to show Sam. Maybe he’d believe her about this place. The sooner he did, the sooner he could get on board with the escape plan she’d discussed with Rose. |
