She was sipping on her first drink when she heard his voice, her eyes were threatening to spill over with tears, but she looked up at him, not even going to joke back with him as she sat the drink on the table. "I was sent home," she told him, "Sara...Sara is alive." Laurel looked away as a tear trickled down her cheek, which she quickly wiped away. "I'm not as messed up as the other night, I'd rather you just sit down then haul me out." Granted this was the first time they had spoken since their fight all the way to her room, but Laurel mind was on other things.
Reaching for an olive, she popped one in her mouth, chewed it for a moment, "Tommy is here as well..." she left the statement hang in the air. This whole time she thought she caused his death, but he was here, alive, just like her sister was alive back home. A few more tears fell down her cheeks, but Laurel being stubborn woman wiped them away.
Her hand covered her face and Laurel leaned forward a little in he chair, started to cry. "How can they both be alive?" she asked, this wasn't fair. Sure her and Sara had issues off and on, but they were siblings, nothing was ever easy, but she had been alive, nearly killing their mother and Laurel. Of course their father knew, he left Laurel out in the dark, after all they had been through together...it was all too much. The anger, the hurt, just life.
