Re: Hallway / Lia & Alexander
A party. It had seemed like a brilliant idea when Michael mentioned it in the bar. And, certainly, it was off to a glorious start already. Music, wine, liquor, a swarm of neighbors. Alexander couldn't complain. He'll, he even enjoyed it, considering Michael had taken care of the all the details, and all Alexander ever had to do was leave his door open, make sure the apartment was clean, and offering up some wine. A bit like an upscale book signing party, even if no one had actually asked him to sign a damned copy.
Was smoking allowed in this building? He'd realized he'd forgotten to ask when he moved in (and had already gone through several packs in the privacy of his own Penthouse), and the surest way to find out was to lean against his doorframe, just inside the hallway, sparking up one after the other. Surely someone would make mention if it were against the rules.
Besides, suited-up and freshly scrubbed, it gave him a chance to watch, enjoy the occasional glance, and keep an eye out for a certain Miss Lia. It'd been too long since they'd seen one another, and he was fairly certain tonight would be a glorious night for reintroductions.
