"It's nice to have a friend living close by. Did you two move in together, or was it more of an unexpected sort of thing?" Personally she enjoyed the surprise of finding a familiar face, but if she'd known that Roy was moving to Pax beforehand than it might have influenced her decision just a little. Familiar faces were good, unless they were jerk ex-boyfriends like Zeus. Then it just became a major headache. "So food is her weak spot? Good to know. Maybe I'll stop by with a bribe-- I mean some dessert later on."

Sarah was only partly surprised by the generosity of the offer, and met it with a grateful smile. "Really? Oh, that would be great. As long as I'm not inconveniencing you or anything, though." As much as she liked driving, walking was a close second - it was nice, to feel the sun and the wind and be able to savor it. "Canoes can be the new getaway vehicle of choice. We could start a brand new trend!"

Poking into things randomly sounded appealing, but if she could find some kind of plant store - even a small flower shop would do - then it would save her a return trip. "I'd like to find somewhere that sells plants... even little potted flowers would do. I work in a greenhouse, but it's not quite in walking distance and taxi drivers don't like it very much when you have excess baggage. Neither do bus drivers, actually. Walking distance means I could visit more often, too." Especially if they kept dying like her others did - she was going to bankrupt herself if things kept up.
