"It's not very surprising." It wasn't to her, at least - women weren't perfect, but men had a tendency to be completely callous in terms of relationships. "Mortal men are bad enough, but gods must be terrible." There was probably a double standard, too; if one of the goddesses had an affair then their husband would strike the poor fool down with a bolt of lightning or... something childish like that. "Persephone had an affair with Adonis?" God, what hope was there for normal people if gods couldn't even stay faithful?

Sarah's eyes widened at the word 'rape', and she was seconds away from a very shocked 'What?!' when Sheila explained. "Oh. So, Hades kidnapped Persephone... but if she didn't like him, then why would she care if he had an affair or not?" As she spoke they passed a small grocery store, which she thought would be useful in the future and immediately took note of.
