Re: The Side of the Dance Floor [Juliet]
Nathaniel had some trouble getting to the doorway. It was difficult for him to forget that he had no substance to his body any longer and he could move with ease through the crowd. When he did realize this, he would feel his panic quickly developing and all of his education would come into play. There was one thing that his instructors had insisted when he was in school- never analyze yourself. Knowing what he knew, Nathaniel could analyze himself to pieces, and it would be quick to put himself into an insane corner.
Turning into a smokey shadow was certainly insane.
Pausing every few feet, Nathaniel tried to search through the moving crowd to see where Juliet had gone and found her completely absent. He pushed forward, hoping to find her, and made his way towards the door where he had seen her headed. Movement was easy and in the ever changing lights of the club Nathaniel found himself capable of hopping from shadow to shadow. Still, it took longer for him to reach the doors than expected and as he slipped through the cold night air struck Nathaniel and took away his breath.
And the cold made him step backwards, his feet chilled by the cold ground as the air wrapped around his body. His body. Nathaniel looked down and realized he was in his full form again, he wasn't a wisp any longer, and he was completely naked. Eyes wide, Nathaniel quickly covered himself and crouched behind a car. He didn't see Juliet but now he had more prominent concerns- such as finding his clothing and not being arrested for indecent exposure.
