Re: The Side of the Dance Floor [Juliet]
"Juliet, no!" Nathaniel called out as she rushed away. The people were moving too quickly and blocking his path. He stepped forward, glided, but paused as a wall of people blocked his way. He looked about and saw a small space between the cluster of people and tried to push through only to feel himself thin out, spread, and move like something akin to smoke.
"Juliet!" Nathaniel cried into the crowd again. He saw the wisp of her red cap before it disappeared around more people as he eased his way through. They were both moving towards the exit but Nathaniel had already lost her with the surge of the crowd. Now, without her panic taking his attention, Nathaniel began to feel a panic of his own. The reality of what his body had become came crashing into him as memories of the shadow people he played with as a child became very, very real. He was a shadow person.
"Juliet?" Nathaniel cried out pathetically as he pushed forward again. Not only did he want to make sure she was all right but now he needed her there to gather his own wits.
