Re: The Side of the Dance Floor [Juliet]
"Juliet?" Nathaniel whispered, his eyes becoming just as large as her's, he stepped forward and his hands hovered over Juliet's as she clutched her throat. "Juliet what's wrong?"
He reached for her, his hand going to touch hers as he clawed at her throat, but then he felt a sudden lightness. It felt as if the weight of his suit was suddenly like air, the mask was no longer tight around his head, and his hand that reached for Juliet's hand was but a shadow.
Letting out a quick breath, Nathaniel looked down to his feet and found his clothing on the floor and his body...his body was just like his hand. All of it was a shadow. Wisping shadows that changed as Nathaniel beckoned, that moved as if it were his true hand, that reached and touched Juliet's hand gently as he lifted his eyes to look at Juliet. Did he even have eyes? But he could see, he could think, and after moving what must have been his mouth he realized he could still speak. "Darling, darling are you all right?"
He reached his arm around the young woman's form and felt the tingling sensation he felt as he had touched her before while they had been bowling. And yet...it was still the strength as it had been before. He could sink his shadowed body into the pours of her skin but he had no strength to lift or lead. He could only touch.
