The Side of the Dance Floor [Juliet]
Nathaniel couldn't keep the smile off of his face as he crossed the floor towards Juliet. Stains on her shirt or not, she still looked lovely and in her absence Nathaniel realized how happy he was when she was with him and how, rather, lonely he felt when she was gone. It stirred some former memory that Nathaniel could not quite grasp but pushed away for the moment as he came upon his date.
"I was worried you'd given up and gone home," Nathaniel said as he pushed aside his wolf mask. "Then I remembered I had driven you here and hoped you hadn't gotten a cap."
His smile faded slightly as he reached for Juliet's hand, taking it gently without asking, and kept his blue eyes on her. "I'm sorry for...for before. I'm sorry I rushed things, Juliet. I didn't mean to be pushy."
