"Another whiskey sour, if you don't mind," she said. Holding his hand, she returned that tight squeeze, looking up at him with a smile to match his own. It felt as if they had successfully passed some obstacle, she thought - some test of their fledgling relationship. It was a good feeling, and one she looked to keep going throughout the night. The party seemed as if it might be ramping up; another drink, she decided, and perhaps she and Sean would find a quieter place in the club, somewhere they might be relatively undisturbed.
