Re: IN THE BATHROOM (Juliet)
Fervently working at the quickly yellowing stain on her otherwise immaculately white blouse, Juliet started at the frank question. Her eyes flicked to the mirrored image of the blond woman - at first she could only nod, still feeling a little airheaded due to her alcohol intake.
"Yes...I mean, no, I mean, I...I spilled on myself," she quickly explained, her voice dying to a mere thread as it folded in on itself. Reliving her earlier mistake was an embarrassment in itself. First the strange goings-on at the bowling alley, and now Nathaniel tried to (no, not tried, had) kiss her, and how did she react? Like a fumbling klutz. The thought that she'd made mention of a few more key facts escaped her liquor-addled mind completely.
Turning on her heel, she moved the water and alcohol soaked paper towels form her shirt to present the error in all of it's befouled glory.
"Do you know how to get rum out?!" Just as the woman's tone had been direct, Juliet's was fervent and worried. Leaving Nathaniel alone for too long would surely leave a bad impression on him, but neither did she want to leave the bathroom looking less than herself. And a large, yellow stain on her shirt was not going to look good for anyone.
