Re: Back at the Bar (Nathaniel)
Women - wasn't that always the root of the problem? Julian nodded in sympathy, then flashed a toothy grin.
"Julian, and I'm the owner of this club." He never missed a chance to announce his success; what was wrong with being proud? Certainly Ariana would chalk his confidence up to arrogance, but Julian waved that sour thought away in favor of making a new acquaintance and potentially bringing in more business. Everyone had something to offer, and Julian excelled in discovering those hidden talents. In lieu of that, though, he would easily settle for commiserating on the woes of problems brought about by the females in their lives.
"But I do live at Pax as well. Fourth floor. I don't think I've ever seen you there before, nor here. Is this your first visit?" Groundwork first, show interest in the foundation of the conversation. Taking Nathaniel's hand firmly in his own, he gave it a shake and then released, taking his drink back into his grip. The cool glass was a different feeling than the man's hand, but Julian welcomed it all the same, the condensation wetting his palm. As for whatever the young woman's issue was with being kissed by this perfectly attractive young man (and yes, Julian was confident enough in his sexuality to make such an observation), he wondered for a moment just how truthful Nathaniel's version of events were.
