Re: Sitting Area
James' expression had begun to soften slightly as Lucy spoke to him. He seemed to calm while she was around but Richard's voice brought him back to attention and the angry gleam reappeared in his eye. Face snapping up, eyes narrowing, he glared at Richard for a long moment.
Finally he looked back from Lucy and took a step back. He gave a shake of his head and worked at his jaw for a moment longer before letting out a short breath. "Forget it," he replied, throwing up his hands in defeat. Ignoring Richard completely he gave Lucy a little bob of his head. "I'm glad you're feeling better. Hope you have a good time tonight...if you need anything, you know how to reach me. But I'm done for the night."
He glanced at Richard, giving him an icy glare before turning on his heel and taking a final swig of his beer before tossing it into a trash can with a breaking of glass. Quickly, he disappeared into the crowd, gone from sight of the couple he had left behind. He wanted to go home and nurse these strange feelings of disappointment he felt.
