Headed TO THE BAR (Vanessa, Idris, open)
Halloween was really not Victor's favorite holiday. It was based on some ancient stuff, to be sure, which Victor was all for, but the history behind it all had long been last. What use to be a day to herald in the close of a summer, the harvest, and the remembrance of spirits, things lost and all that... now it was all about how outlandish or just downright slutty one could get their costumes, how much candy kids could grab, and just another excuse to drink too much, pretending to be someone or something else for a night. The drinking part, to be completely honest, he didn't have much of a problem with. But the rest... he could really care less.
But, regardless, here he was. He had been meaning to explore this Casket club place before now, but, the party was as good an excuse as any. And he even dressed up. Nothing too garish - he thought the idea of a cowboy suited him pretty well anyhow. Now he just had a little plastic gun and a star pinned to his chest to make it all the more obvious. It was a pretty simple http://www.lingerieoutlets.org/UploadFiles/sexylingerieoutlets/Product/OriginalThumbnail/Gun-Slinger.jpg. And to give it a finishing touch, he didn't shave that morning, letting a bit of shadow grow along his jawline and cheeks. A wide brimmed leather hate rested easy on his head. Rugged cowboy. Yeah... that worked.
The club was pretty impressive, though all the people running about in their costumes made him a smidgen uncomfortable. He didn't know... well, anyone, really. He probably should have been a bit more social in the last week or so. Nothing a few drinks wouldn't help, of course. It seemed like most of the patrons were already quite a few in ahead of him. He had arrived a bit late. It was probably just a little before 9pm. Good thing he was a quick study.
As he stepped towards the noticed the woman, Vanessa, sitting at the bar, tossing back a shot of something or another. With the lime chaser, he figured tequila. That brought a small smile tugging at his lips. She did kind of seem the tequila type... Not that he knew here very well at all. But she was pretty much the only other person at Pax he had even spoken with as of yet.
There was a man sitting with her. For some reason, even though the man's face was partially obscured, something in Victor rankled a bit at the sight. Something about the way the man was looking at her. Or maybe it was the grin drawn across his expression, like a second mask. Somehow... irksome.
Victor shook off the feeling, not even noticing that he had somewhat been staring. He didn't know this guy from anyone else. It could be Vanessa's brother. Or her best gay friend. Or her... boyfriend. None of his business. The guy looked... harmless enough. Right.
Victor snorted, and hailed the bartender. He really needed a drink.
