Re: Sitting Area
James had been at the bar for only a short while. Short enough that he had one beer in him and was halfway through his second. His costume was simple: black shirt, black pants, plastic fangs. Vampire. He wasn't one to get all creative about costumes and shit like that, he just wanted the discounted beer and to check out who from the apartment complex happened to be there.
He also, secretly, was hoping to see Lucy. He hadn't seen her since the incident with her hair and he hoped she wasn't completely avoiding her. Then again, he hadn't entirely gone out of his way to find her, he was nervous and unsure about speaking to her after the incident.
As if his wish came true, he spotted Lucy sitting with...a man. A man he didn't know. James paused, staring at the couple as they pointed at people in costume. Quite suddenly, that need to protect Lucy flared back to life and it was mixed with rage. That...man...sitting with Lucy. He had thought there was something special between the two of them. Now, after they hadn't spoken for a few weeks, he discovered why.
Some men would brush it off and continue making rounds at the party, casually checking out the butts of the men dressed as superheroes, but James wasn't one of those men. Well, he had been checking out butts before but now his mind was completely directed towards Lucy and so were his steps.
He seemed to appear in front of the couple, staring down at them and working his jaw as he worked out a full sentence. "So this is your date?"
