"Trust me, you can wait to hear me sing," Richard responded, wincing a little at the thought of his own off-key tenor. "Ask me again after a couple more beers, and we'll both be better off." The beer washed down that thought and as Lucy considered their next move, he came to terms with the idea that he would probably end up singing, if only to entertain her. He should probably track down their karaoke list at some point.
When she finally suggested something, Richard had to fight the urge to pinch her cheeks. She really was just that... not naive exactly... It was more like she was both excited and pleased at everything she saw. Not a very practical outlook, he thought darkly, but definitely something that made her fun to be around. Which was good enough for him, especially tonight.
Linking their hands again, he nodded down at her. "Alright. I'm warning you, though, you might have to explain some of the references. Let's find a place to sit."
