Re: Entrance Area (Sean, Karin)
"Flatterer," she said, forcing a bit of a laugh. In truth she had spent the better part of the evening fighting off the urge to flee their hastily made plans, the better part of her wanting nothing more than to seek the solace of the ocean instead of this crowded event. Hours of talking herself down from that proverbial ledge had led her to the conclusion that Sean was a good man, one who had provided her with a few vital comforts in her hours of need. It was an earthy kind of pursuit, rare enough for her, but perhaps just the sort of grounding she needed these days. So in spite of her misgivings she took his hand, leading him the last few paces to the bar.
"Two Irish car bombs," she said, flagging down a waitress. She was disappointed to see Fee was not within shouting range; the club was choked with patrons, and she had no way of knowing how long it might be before she could catch a glimpse of her sister. Sighing, she turned back to Sean. "I say we get a good seat for the band," she said. "And maybe you sing a song for me while karaoke's still going."
