Re: Entrance Area (Juliet)
The brush of his voice over her ear was both arousing and somehow...familiar. Though they'd never been in a position like this before, there were so many little things between them that absolutely reeked of deja vu. Small gestures, moments, fleeting glimpses of something that was dancing around the edges of her mind and refused to come forth, no matter how much she begged it to. But for the moment she brushed such thoughts aside and laughed, his warm breath tickling her. Taking a step closer, she put her hand to his bicep so that he might hear her all too soft voice in the ruckus being made by the person on stage.
"Um, I'm not sure - I don't drink very much. Something with, um, rum in it? What are they called? Oh, a rum and coke, please," she finally remembered; all the while through her thought process, her hand had unconsciously made a smooth journey up his arm to his shoulder, her feet rising up on tip toe to reach his ear. Once the message had been successfully passed on, though, she fell back down gently, her other hand smoothing down her skirt in a nervous habit. Glancing around, the decorations pulled a delighted, childlike smile from her mouth. It was a wonderful idea to have come here, after all - before she'd been toying with thoughts of simply finding a pumpkin patch and seeing if Nate knew how to carve.
The idea of hay bales in maze formation and scarecrows was picturesque and cliche, but also familiar. This was an entirely different encounter for Juliet, having been so sheltered as she was growing up; it excited her to be out and about, especially since she was on the arm of such a gorgeous looking man. Or perhaps he was on her arm, since it had been her idea to go? The semantics of it weren't of that much interest, and instead she started mouthing the words of the song the newest karaoke victim sang.
"A pattern to pattern oh can you see it on me love...Atom to atom oh what's the matter with me love..."
